About.

Few voices have graced the world of R&B with such depth and soul as  Scacy. Decades-long journey has seen me captivate audiences, collaborate with icons, and leave an indelible mark on the genre. Buckle up, music lovers, and let me take you on a ride through my life's vibrant melody.

                              Soul Train Beginnings:

My journey began on the legendary stage of Soul Train, where I honed my craft and captivated viewers with my electrifying performances. Sharing that platform with greats like Chuck Brown Stevie Wonder  instilled in me a passion for soulful expression that continues to fuel my music today.

A Legacy of Collaboration:

My vocal prowess didn't stop there. I proudly lent my voice as a member of renowned groups like The Clovers, The Winstons, and The Ascots. Each experience enriched my musical tapestry, shaping my sound and allowing me to learn from some of the industry's best.

Leading the Way:

Fronting The DC Playboys, I took center stage, leading the group to become a beloved fixture in the DC music scene. But my ambition wouldn't be confined. In the 70s, I birthed Scacy & The Sound Service, a band that not only captivated audiences but also played a pivotal role in shaping the iconic Go-Go sound.

Still Going Strong:

The music never stops for me. Even now, I'm pouring my heart and soul into a new R&B release, "Same Old Candlelight." This single  promises to be a testament to my enduring passion and a fresh exploration of the genre I love.

More Than Just a Singer:

I'm not just a vocalist; I'm a storyteller, a performer, and a living testament to the enduring power of music. My journey is far from over, and I invite you to join me as I continue to create, collaborate, and share the gift of music with the world.

As an independent music artist, I rely on the support of my fans and followers to continue creating and sharing my music with the world. If you are interested in helping me spread my music and supporting my work, please contact me at
